Black Road Branch-Closed

The Black Road Branch will be closed from December 15 through January 4 while we complete construction and prepare the library for a refreshed and more spacious experience.

When we reopen, construction will not be fully complete, but you will enjoy significant improvements, including:

  • Our full collection available for browsing
  • Much more open space throughout the building
  • Updated children’s and adult areas to explore and enjoy
  • Study rooms available for quiet work and reading
  • Only the meeting rooms on the north side will remain unavailable during this phase

What’s available while we’re closed?

  • The drive-thru window will open on December 22
  • Our Downtown Branch is fully open
  • Nearby Pinnacle libraries: Shorewood, White Oak, and Plainfield are also available

Thank you for your patience as we prepare this improved space for you. We can’t wait to welcome you back to a brighter, more open Black Road Branch!
